Age of the God Towers
During the war that ended the Second Imperial Age the [[minor Rosea Gods]] would frequently lead the the armies of the Kingdom against the Zeliun Empire. Able to heal fallen soldiers, rain holy fire, and immune to damage, the semi-gods laid the Zelium Empire armies to waste.
Seeing the ultimate defeat at hand and unable to manifest himself in the mortal plane, the Zeliun Empire god Nahuatl sacrificed himself to create the Ixcama Blade, or as the Roseans came to call it, "The Heathen Sword". The sword infused it's wielder with the power of the dead god, allowing him or her to kill the Rosea dieties. When one champion fell, only another follower of Nahuatl could approach the sword to wield it.
The Heathen Sword allowed the Zeliuns to retake much of the territory they had lost. They pushed the Rosean armies back to the city of Ukhem in Cliff Shadow where the final battle occurred. The month long battle saw the deaths of thousands of men and women and dozens of Rosean deities. It likely would have continued if not for the Severing which destroyed the blade and the semi-gods.
